Rumours of Dutt’s marriage to Manyata have been afloat since early last year, when he acknowledged that she was his wife in a media interview, but refuted it later.
Now, Dutt has only added more fuel to the fire of speculation by giving out an advertisement in Shiv Sena’s mouth-piece ‘Saamna’, wishing Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on his 82nd birthday. The caption on the advertisement reads: from Mr. Sanjay Dutt and Manyata Dutt. Sanjay, who has known Manyata for four years and is believed to have tattooed her name, has never come clear about his status with Manyata. In fact, of late he has found clever ways of avoiding the questions about Manyata, who continues to be an inseparable part of his life. Manyata seems to have become central to Dutt’s life, particularly since she stood firmly by him in the days when he went to prison twice last year. She lives with him and takes all the important household decisions. In fact, there have recently been rumours that Dutt’s sisters Namrata and Priya are not too happy about the way Manyata is taking control of Dutt’s life.
