HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD From a plain Jane to a glamourous chick04th Feb 2008 17.18 IST By ApunKaChoice Prachi Desai, the proverbial plain Jane of small screen has transformed into a glamourous chick for her first Bollywood film. Prachi, who shot to limelight playing the role of a small-town girl Bani on television drama Kasamh Se (for which she also won an award), is now graduating to Bollywood.
She plays the lead opposite Farhan Akhtar in a film titled Rock On . The movie has Farhan and Arjun Rampal playing two rock stars. Prachi plays a very modern, chic, and glamourous girl. A lot of people have worked on Prachi to make her look glam in the flick. Farhan’s wife Adhuna has given Prachi a new hairstyle, fashion designer Niharika Khan has given her trendiest clothes, and make-up artist Shabana has worked on Prachi’s look. All the hard work seems to have paid off as Prachi has been successfully transformed from a plain Jane to an attractive chick. The film’s director Abhishek Kapoor and Prachi’s co-star Farhan Akhtar shot still photographs of Prachi in many different get-ups before finalizing the look that they wanted for her in the film. Prachi is thrilled about her new makeover and she hopes ‘Rock On’ will begin a new chapter in her acting career.
