Arshad Warsi says no to 'Teen Patti' with Big B

Walking out of a film co-starring Amitabh Bachchan was a tough call. But Arshad Warsi bit the bullet and bowed out of ‘Teen Patti’.

It was an offer that doesn’t come to an actor every day – a significant role alongside none other than Bollywood cine icon Amitabh Bachchan in a film based on an interesting and unusual concept.

Teen Patti was to be Arshad Warsi’s first film with a female director and second with Big B after the lackluster Zamaanat .

Leena Yadav , who previously directed Shabd (starring Sanjay Dutt , Aishwarya Rai and Zayed Khan ) is ready to wield the megaphone once again in ‘Teen Patti’, which is being produced by Ambika Hinduja.

Arshad was all gung-ho about working in this film, until the dates played the spoilsport.

‘Teen Patti’, that is yet to go on the floors, clashes with Arshad’s first film as a producer. The actor has been busy doing the pre-production work on his debut production, which is set to go on the floors in July, the time when he was also required to shoot for ‘Teen Patti’.

Having to choose between his own film and ‘Teen Patti’, Arshad opted for the former and walked out of the latter after giving the due reasons to the film’s makers.

Arshad says had it been any other film except his own production he would have happily chosen to do ‘Teen Patti’ with Mr. Bachchan.

The actor also thinks that he owes an explanation to Mr. Bachchan about opting out of the film. He will soon be speaking to the superstar regarding this.
