Sanjay Dutt wants more abs than SRK's

If Shah Rukh Khan acquired six-pack abs for his movie ‘Om Shanti Om’, actor Sanjay Dutt is going further than that for an action flick.

In the days following the release of Om Shanti Om , when Dutt was asked by a TV reporter about the latest Bollywood craze for 6-pack abs, Dutt flashed a sarcastic smile and said: “been there, done that.”

Truth be told, Dutt’s once chiseled-out physique has been beefed up by fat and flab acquired over the years, not to mention the paunch that protrudes through his shirts.

Not unaware of his out-of-shape physique, Sanjay has now begun working out religiously to get back in shape. To start with, he has hired an American trainer Lawrence to guide him to gradually acquire 8-pack abs for his role of an action hero in Bollywood flick Blue for which Dutt will begin shooting in June.

Lawrence, who has trained rugby and football players, is also a nutritionist and a martial arts practitioner who is supervising the overall fitness of Sanjay Dutt – from right kind of exercises to healthy diet.

Reportedly, Dutt does spinning (pedaling a stationary exercise bicycle) for a couple of hours every day to burn his calories. He is also off the alcohol and is following a diet regime suggested by Lawrence.

Dutt will also be learning underwater swimming and deep diving for his role in ‘Blue’.
