When Abhishek surprised papa Bachchan!

Unable to resist meeting his dad after a long time, Abhishek Bachchan made a quick visit to Mumbai when he got a day’s break from shooting in Rajasthan.

It’s no secret that for the last few months Abhishek has been away from home, shooting director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Dilli 6 in Rajasthan.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan too has been busy working in Shoojit Sircar’s film Shoebite which has been shot in Shimla and is presently being shot in Mumbai.

Recently, when Abhishek got a brief break from ‘Dilli 6’, he instantly decided to fly down to Mumbai to meet his dad on the sets of ‘Shoebite’.

Reports have it that Abhishek quietly and casually walked in to the sets of ‘Shoebite’ and straightaway went to meet Big B. The father and son, who share great friendship, were delighted to see each other. They had lunch together and they chatted away for hours.

Even the film’s crew was pleasantly surprised to see Abhishek. Director Shoojit Sircar , a friend of Abhi, also greeted him warmly.

Incidentally, Abhishek was earlier asked to play the role of younger Amitabh in ‘Shoebite’, but the junior Bachchan turned it down for reasons yet not clear. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan is playing a small role as Abhishek’s grandpa in ‘Dilli 6’.
