Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan 's loyalty was targeted again today this time in an article that appeared in the pages of Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Samna’.
In the article, Big B was asked to show more loyalty to the place where he was working (Maharashtra) than where he was born (Uttar Pradesh). He was also asked to follow Tamil superstar Rajnikant , who joined the Tamil protests against Karnataka over the Hogenakkal water project. Rajnikant, a Maharashtrian, was born in Karnataka.
In an editorial in its mouthpiece Samna, the Shiv Sena has said ''People who have benefited from Mumbai and Maharashtra often don't take up for the Marathi cause and run away. This includes people like Amitabh Bachchan.''
When asked by reporters to react on the ‘Samna’ article, Bachchan said, “You tell me whether I have done anything for Maharashtra or not.” He clearly indicated that he was being the target of injustice.
The Sena's comments came at a time when Bachchan was doing something for the city. He was at an event to mark 'No Honking Day in the City.'
''Don't you think I have done enough for Maharashtra? If you don't know my contribution, then it is a shame,'' Bachchan said to the media.
This is a complete turnaround from Sena supreme Bal Thackeray's statement two months ago supporting Bachchan when Raj Thackeray criticised him.
