Abhishek Bachchan's need to flaunt a perfect body

The makers of his forthcoming film Dostana want Abhishek Bachchan to lose some weight.

A unit hand currently in Miami for the shoot of Karan Johar 's Dostana had this to say about Abhishek's weight: " Priyanka Chopra , Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham comprise the cast of the film and since the film's look is on the lines of Yash Raj's Neal 'N' Nikki , it's a must for the cast to flaunt a perfect body."

Debutante actress Tanishaa went through a stringent regimen and made to lose oodles of weight for Neal 'N' Nikki. It was rather important as she was dressed in minimal clothes throughout.

‘Dostana’ will be Karan Johar 's strike at comedy this time, a romantic comedy, and is pretty much on the lines of ‘Neil-N-Nikki’.

Since Priyanka is a former beauty queen known for her perfect-ten body, and John a supermodel more famous for his six-packs than acting prowess, it is only Abhishek to look as slick and sexy as his costars.

Abhishek is naturally finding it all the more tough going and is being nagged all the time to lose weight in order to keep up with his costars.

"It may be a romantic comedy but it has been shot quite sensuously! So it was essential that the cast looked good in minimal clothing. Unless you have a perfect body this is not possible. With John in the film too it makes Abhishek's excess weight all the more striking," added the unit hand.

A year of marriage with Aishwarya Rai has made Abhishek look prosperous and happily overweight. But it's Ash who has been keeping a tab on her happy hubby's diet so that he can get back into shape.

Abhishek could take a lesson from Ash's professionalism. She took to yoga for Dhoom 2 and stunned everyone with her Barbie body after a dramatic streamlining of her body weight after Guru .
