The actor is set to team up with Homi Adajania, the director of ‘Being Cyrus’, once again.
However, this time Saif Ali Khan and Homi work together in a full-on masala film rather than an art-house movie. The film, learnt to be titled ‘Thugi’ (slang for thug), will have Saif playing the title role of a conman.
The film, an action comedy, will also have three four other actors in significant roles. There will also be Saif’s leading lady who is yet to be finalized.
‘Thugi’, according to reports, will be a commercial film with all the masala of a typical Bollywood entertainer thrown in for mass appeal.
This would be a great departure for director Homi Adajania whose Being Cyrus was sluggish, dark, and surreal film.
The script of ‘Thugi’ has been written by Ankur Tiwari. The movie will be made under Saif’s home banner Illuminati Films.
Meanwhile, Saif’s latest release Tashan has got bad reviews from critics. Most of the critics found Saif relegated to a second fiddle in the film.
