Kareena Kapoor has set a precedent and now others are following the course.

Bollywood belles seem gripped by a new mania – to get skinny. The pride they apparently took in flaunting their curves has now been replaced by a desire to shed the extra flab and acquire an ideal slim-trim figure, even if it is labeled ‘size zero’ by some.

Kareena Kapoor, for instance, has been called ‘starved’, ‘anorexic’ and ‘emaciated’ by those who thought she went overboard in slimming herself down. But there is another bunch as well who found her “hot” in her itsy-bitsy bikini act in Tashan .

Following the trail blazed by Bebo are other actresses who have pulled up their socks and hit the treadmill to whittle away the unwanted fat.

Taking the lead among them is Bebo’s best friend Amrita Arora who is following exactly in her friend’s footsteps. Like Bebo, Amrita has begun doing regular Yoga. She has joined a gym. And she has roped in the same dietician who worked with Kareena.

And guess what? Joining the bandwagon is another actress you never thought needed to lose weight – none other than Kangana Ranaut .

Yes friends, Kangana is getting slimmer for her role in Raaz 2 .

As she plays a model in the film, Kangana was asked to lose a few kilos. Consequently, she has roped in a dietician named Trupti Bhandari who has charted out a new diet regimen for the actress. Kangana has also begun gymming regularly.

Well, we just hope this latest fad to get ultra-slim doesn’t get blown out of proportion (pun intended).
