Does it not remind you of the famous character Indiana Jones from Hollywood? Yes, but the man in the picture is not Harrison Ford but our own John Abraham . This still from John’s upcoming film Aashayein – which was unveiled recently – shows the actor dressed in khaki pants, a fedora hat on his head, and a whip in his hand, just like the adventurer and archeologist Dr. Indiana Jones. 
Though the still will have you believe that John plays an archeologist unraveling mysteries from the past, but that is untrue. In ‘Aashayein’ John plays a gambler – a man who bets heavily on cricket matches. But his life is turned topsy-turvy after a tragedy. The movie also stars Chak De India girl Anahita Nair as a 17-year-old undergoing the trauma of cancer. In director Nagesh Kukunoor ’s words, ‘Aashayein’ is about living life in the present moment. The movie has an emotional and inspirational theme. When John first read the script he was in tears. Now, coming back to where we started from, what is John doing in the Indiana Jones get-up in the film? Kukunoor is not willing to reveal anything.
