Tabu , who’s mostly seen playing serious and demure woman in Bollywood films, is not avers to steamy roles.
The choosy actress may have been turning down plum offers from Bollywood (films like Shoebite and Billoo Barber ), but she is not saying goodbye to Hindi films.
The latest is that she has signed a light-hearted comedy film titled Seasons Greetings . The film has Tabu playing a woman trying to be happy on her own after her husband deserts her.
Meanwhile, down in the south, where Tabu has been busy of late, the actress has shown that she is game for steamy roles. Her last release ‘Idhi Sangathi’ had a very sensuous song with co-star Abbas.
And ready for release soon is her Telugu film ‘Pandurangadu’ in which Tabu has a sexy makeover.
The producers are not behind in cashing on this fast-catching Tabu mania in the south. For instance, Tabu’s old Hindi film ‘Hawa’, which features the actress in a steamy shower scene, has been dubbed in Telugu. The movie, a horror thriller, has Tabu playing a mother of two daughters who gets repeatedly raped by a ghost.
