With both the debutants showing a lot of promise, trade analysts feel that both films should do well.
"In 2008, apart from Jodhaa Akbar and Race , and the recent Jannat , box office collections have been dull. It is in the interest of the film industry that both 'Love Story 2050' and 'Jaane Tu' succeed," trade analyst Taran Adarsh is reported as saying.
Also, the music of both films has been launched. Aamir who is the producer of ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ preferred a low key launch by visiting veteran actor Shammi Kapoor and presenting the first copy of the music CD to him last week, while in case of ‘Love Story 2050’, which is being described as the costliest Sci-fi film ever made, its music launch last night was a star-studded event.
Trade sources said debutant Imran resembles his uncle actor-producer Aamir and Harman looks like Hrithik Roshan .
Both newcomers have displayed their dancing skills as is evident from the promos of their respective films, which are being aired on television.
In ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ Imran shows that he is a good dancer in the song ‘Pappu can't dance’ while in ‘Love Story 2050’, Harman, whose looks and mannerisms are strikingly similar to Hrithik sizzles in the number ‘Milo na milo’.
