HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Agnihotri wants to remake '12 Angry Men' with Big B05th June 2008 17.00 IST By ApunKaChoice Putting behind the debacle of his last movie Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal , director Atul Agnihotri is now set to rehash a Hollywood classic. ‘12 Angry Men’ has previously been ripped off by director Basu Chatterjee in his 1986 movie ‘Ek Ruka Hua Faisla’. The movie was inspired from the Hollywood classic ‘12 Angry Men’ starring Henry Fonda in the lead role. 
Agnihotri, who has previously remade ‘The Usual Suspects’ in Hindi as Chocolate , is planning to remake ‘12 Angry Men’ now. And he wants to cast some of the talented Bollywood stars. Reports say on Agnihotri’s wishlist are stars like Amitabh Bachchan , Naseeruddin Shah , Shabana Azmi and Ajay Devgan . Agnihotri says he wants to make his own interpretation of the film by highlighting the prejudices that mar the present-day judicial system. He also admits having talked about the project with some Bollywood stars, but he is not willing to reveal any names. What’s 12 Angry Men About: It’s the story of 12 jurors in a meeting to decide the fate of an accused. Going by the circumstantial evidence, 11 of them are in favour of declaring the accused guilty. But only one juror believes the accused is innocent. How the opinions change through the course of the meeting is what the movie is about.
