Bhatt said 'Kajra re' was the love story of a rockstar from India and a girl from Pakistan. 
"Himesh Reshammiya in the role of a rockstar looks unbelievable. His transition from a playback singer-music composer to an actor has been smooth," Bhatt recently said. She said the heroine, Mona, plays a girl from a redlight area. Himesh meets her in Dubai. Himesh's character has just experienced a tragedy where he has to give up his identity and start life all over again. "The film primarily dwells on the theme that where there is love, there is no fear," she added. Speaking about her own self, Bhatt said she could prove to be a better actress now as she had experience of being behind the camera. "Producers feel that since I have taken up filmmaking as an alternate profession, I have given up acting. But, it is not so. I am still open to good offers.
