A full-fledged action comedy is something we have never seen Shilpa Shetty do. Now, the actress turns producer with one such film.
That Shilpa is taking a plunge into film production is old dope. But not many know that the film would be an action comedy to be directed by Manish Jha.
Shilpa had been searching for a right script to be made into the first film by her production house, S2 Global Productions. It took six months to zero down on a script that got Shilpa super-excited.
A source says Shilpa wanted something unusual for her first production. She wanted an original script and not a rip-off of some Hollywood movie. When she heard the script of this action film with girls in central roles, the actress was game for it.
The movie would be a chick flick with Shilpa playing one of the lead roles. Reports have it that Bipasha Basu has also been finalized for a parallel role.
Shilpa has reportedly roped in Hollywood stunt director Tom Delmar to choreograph the action scenes and train the actors. The movie will be co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
Shilpa is presently busy working with Sunny Deol in The Man . The actress has been learning to play the violin for her role in the film.
