If things go as planned, we will see Sridevi again on the celluloid romancing Anil Kapoor in none other than the sequel of the superhit movie Mr. India . The film, planned in a grand way by producer Boney Kapoor , won’t be the remake of the 1987 movie and will have lot of special effects. The sequel will take off from the point where Mr. India ended. 
The project is still in preliminary stages and its director has not been confirmed yet. However, Shekhar Kapur is not likely to take on the directorial reins for the sequel. Which means that a director of equal caliber, if not more, will have to helm the project to justify the sequel of the much-acclaimed 1987 hit. Sridevi is already shedding extra kilos and looking as gorgeous as ever. And she says she is very excited about the sequel. She has even declined an offer from Yashraj Films just for this movie. Now it remains to be seen if Sridevi and Anil Kapoor can recreate the magic of the original version.
