The reason for its delay is that some sequences and songs are yet to be shot. Shahrukh’s company Red Chillies Entertainment propounded that the film is not yet finished and a grand publicity stunt has been planned to make the movie a huge success. So the movie can’t release before January. Shahrukh is known for his big way of promoting films. Can we forget Om Shanti Om ? 
‘Billoo Barber’ sees Shahrukh working for the first time with Priyadarshan , who is famous for his comedy flicks like Hera-Pheri and Hungama . It’s a remake of Malayalam superhit ‘Katha Parayumbol’. The movie stars Irrfan Khan in the pivotal role as a village barber and Lara Dutta as his wife. The makers are planning to release it around Republic day or first week of Febrauary. Before, it was slated for a Diwali release. Another story doing rounds for the delayed release of the film is bombing of Kuselan . ‘Kuselan’ was a Tamil remake of same movie ‘Katha Parayumbol’. It is considered to be the biggest flop of Rajnikant ever. So, this might have influenced Shahrukh’s decision to postpone the film. But, the officials have denied such news and said that it is the decision of both director as well as producer. Some of the sequences are into re-shooting mode to make the movie more condensed, so that it shouldn’t appear slow and dragging at times. As this was the case with ‘Kuselan’. ‘Billoo Barber’ also features cameos by Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone .
