Arjun Rampal can't show his middle finger

A scene in which Arjun Rampal shows his middle finger to the camera has been chopped from the upcoming film ‘EMI’.

In the film, Arjun plays a disc jockey who falls for a gorgeous stunner and makes a commitment only to regret it later when he discovers that the girl is a gold-digger.

While shooting a song, Arjun was to give the count one-two-three with his fingers while seated on a couch with a bunch of beautiful and underdressed blondes. May be it was the effect of being surrounded by welcome distraction, or may be it was his spontaneous reaction, but when the shot was called Arjun did the finger-count in such a way that his middle finger was left standing on the last count.

The choreographed step eventually looked like the middle-finger gesture, the meaning of which – we’re absolutely certain – everybody knows.

Knowing that such a gesture will, to say the least, raise some hackles at the Censor board, the director (Saurabh Kabra) decided to delete the scene and replace it with another one in which Arjun is shown with his thumb up.

Now, Kabra can be certain of a thumbs-up from the Censor board as well.

‘EMI’ tells the story of a loan recovery agent and a number of hapless individuals who have taken loans but can’t pay the Emi.

The movie stars Sanjay Dutt , Urmila Matondkar , Ashish Choudhary , Neha Oberoi and Kulbhushan Kharbanda .
