And now, he has signed another interesting film. Titled Dhobi Ghaat , the movie will be the debut production venture of Kiran Rao , wife of Aamir Khan . 
Prateik Babbar had apparently caught Kiran's eye with his performance in his debut film, but Kiran reportedly took her time to take a final call if Prateik indeed suited the role in her film. The young actor says he has a very different role that he can't speak about. All he says is that his character in the film will take everyone by surprise. 'Dhobi Ghaat' is supposed to be Kiran’s first project from her own new production house named Cinema 73. The movie will be shot in very realistic settings with hidden cameras. Perhaps that is why Kiran wants to sign only newcomers for the flick. Reports have it that the movie will feature four characters and Prateik plays one of the leads. Prateik started his career as a production assistant under Ad-guru Prahlad Kakkar, and later ended up doing a brief role in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’.
