It’s true that Aamir Khan has been instrumental in launching Imran in Bollywood with his home production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and has already cast Imran in his upcoming production Delhi Belly . 
This ostensible favoritism by uncle Aamir towards Imran has fuelled the assumption that the ‘perfectionist’ Khan is guiding and mentoring his young nephew in taking important career decisions. However, Imran begs to differ. "He (Aamir) is not my mentor…I have a lot of respect and admiration for him. But he has never told me how to work and what to do. He has never mentored me, though I really look up to him," Imran is quoted by a news agency. Imran, who has been appreciated for his performance in his second film Kidnap , says he prefers to take his own decisions and prepare for his roles as he deems fit. Imran will next be seen in an action role in Soham Shah’s thriller Luck . He has also started preparing for his role in ‘Delhi Belly’.
