Akshay Kumar finds water-skiing hard

It’s shocking, but true! Akshay, who done everything from Parkour to Ju-jitsu, and from jumping off the buildings to flirting with sharks underwater, looked like a novice while shooting a water-skiing sequence for Priyadarshan’s film De Dana Dan in Singapore.

It was a simple song sequence and Priyadarshan thought it would be easy for the actor who is master in doing such scenes and gave Akshay half an hour to train. But it took approximately three hours for Akshay to do water-ski properly.


Reports say that while doing the stunt, Akshay fell a couple of times. But he didn’t give up and kept trying until he got it right.

Producer of the movie, Ratan Jain confirmed the news and admitted that the scene was a difficult one for Akshay.

Ratan is quoted by a tabloid as saying, “During water-skiing, there is usually a boat which controls the movement of the ski but for this scene, a cable attached to a rope was controlling Akshay’s movements.” And that made the stunt more difficult. On top of it, film’s lead actress Katrina Kaif too was the part of it.

Of late, Akshay has done many under-water stunts, be his Houdini act in 8x10 Tasveer or swimming with sharks in the yet-to-be-released Blue . But it appears the actor is more at ease doing stunts under water than over it.
