Akshay Kumar to woo the audience with 'Tasveer'

The Khiladi Kumar was all set to win his audience with the big release Kambakkth Ishq , as it was anticipated to be the star's next release. But putting speculations to rest, Akshay Kumar 's next offering would be Tasveer or Eight By Ten (the title is yet to be finalized).

Akshay, whose successful run came to halt when his much-hyped Chandni Chowk To China bombed at the box office, is ready to shock his audiences with '8X10 Tasveer' which is up for release soon. The star's acting skills were under question when he repeatedly delivered only comedies. But with this movie, he is trying sci-fi thriller for the first time.


The movie, a paranormal thriller with supernatural elements, has the maverick director Nagesh Kukunoor teaming up for the first time with Akshay, who has done some deadly stunts in the flick.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film has Akshay playing a guy with amazing mental powers. Rumour has it that his character in the film is a guy who cannot be hurt. The climax of this movie is set underwater for which Akshay was tied up in chains. Some sources also reveal that the movie is influenced by Manoj Night Shyamalan's 'Sixth Sense' and 'Unbreakable'.

The movie was in the making stages for quite some time but finally the hard work is ready to bear the sweet fruit as it is ready to hit the theatres. The first promo of the flick is released and has received much plaudits and appreciation. The movie will finally hit the theatres on 3rd March.

It features veteran actors like Sharmila Tagore , Girish Karnad and Anant Mahadevan in pivotal roles. Ayesha Takia plays the main lead opposite Akshay.
