Dostana – tales from behind the scenes!

Seldom does work mix so seamlessly with fun as it did on the sets of Karan Johar’s production ‘Dostana’, with its three stars – Abhishek Bachchan , John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra – bonding like thick friends while shooting the film along the scenic beaches of Miami.

Here are some snippets from behind the scenes of ‘Dostana’.


FEMALE CHAUFFEURS

John and Abhishek had female chauffeurs to drive them from their hotels to shooting locations and back. Though other people in the crew (like Karan Johar ) also had female drivers, the girls who drove Abhi and John around were the best lookers of all. We’re sure the guys had rides of their lives.

SLIPPERY JOHN

Since the film was shot in the summers in Miami, the actors had to use a lot of sunblock cream to avoid getting the suntan. While shooting a song with Shilpa Shetty John had applied so much of sunblock cream on his body that Shilpa’s hands just kept slipping off him in a shot where she had to embrace him. John had to eventually rub the cream away so that Shilpa can get a hold of him.

DOSTANA WITH KATE MOSS

During the shoot in Miami, British supermodel Kate Moss dropped by on the sets to see the shooting. Kate not just had herself photographed (by her personal photographer) on the sets of the film, she also bonded with Abhishek and John. She also discussed fashion trends with designers Manish Malhotra and Aki Narula .

ABHISHEK’S PRANKS

If there was anyone who created the atmosphere of fun on the sets it was Abhishek Bachchan. While John behaved like a decent boy on the sets, Abhishek was all fun and frolic. In fact, Abhi’s notoriety rubbed off on John as well. While shooting at the University of Miami, the crew played basketball and Abhishek had everyone in splits with his antics on the court.

GYM GRIND

After the day’s shoot, the stars would hit the gym to get their bodies in shape. Hollywood's celebrity fitness trainer Mike Ryan guided the three stars in workouts and diet regimen. However, Abhishek would often try to cheat on the trainer by munching on his favourite cheese burger.
