'Dostana' sequel is on!

They may not have thought of a sequel while making ‘Dostana’, but producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani are upbeat about making another version of the gay comedy after the movie’s good run at box office.

Abhishek Bachchan particularly thinks ‘Dostana’ has now become a brand and it makes sense to come up with the film’s sequel.


Director Tarun Mansukhani is still working on the plot of the new film. He doesn’t want to make a sequel just for the heck of it. He is making sure that he has a gripping story that justifies the sequel.

The sequel will star Abhishek and John Abraham as friends. However, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol may not find a place in the film. Rather, a new actress would be roped in.

Reports say the story of ‘Dostana 2’ will take the two friends from Miami to Punjab. In the new version, they clarify to everyone that they aren’t gays. But they are unwittingly caught in such situations that none believes them.

So brace up for more gay fun, guys and gals.
