Farhan Akhtar to act in a psychological thriller

The actor in Farhan has got an admirer in new director Vijay Lalvani, who is set to make his debut in a thriller to be co-produced by Farhan along with his friend and partner Ritesh Sidhwani .

Though Farhan admitted “I'd have liked nothing better right now than to direct 'Voices From The Sky'”, the director is under financial crunch as the movie is a period film which requires a hefty budget.


It happened by chance that Vijay Lalvani approached Farhan with an acting offer for his flick, which Farhan liked instantly and gave his nod. In fact, Farhan and Ritesh will collaborate with Surge Entertainment to produce this film.

The movie’s script is almost ready. The shooting will begin by March next year. Meanwhile, Farhan is sorting out the financial problems to resume ‘Voices From The Sky’, but he says this is not the right time for it. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan .

Farhan is also busy with sister Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut Luck By Chance which is ready for early next year release. The release date is not yet confirmed but it might hit the theatres on 23rd January.

Farhan surprised everyone with his well nuanced performance in ‘Rock On’. His role of a rock singer transforming into an emotionless businessman was praiseworthy. He has a knack for doing different films, so we can expect a path-breaking thriller from his camp.
