Farhan Akhtar tries hand on comedy

The actor-director, who has shown glimpses of his comic side of late as the host of a chat show, now readies to tickle your funny bone in a film titled, Kartik Calling Kartik . The movie is not exactly a full-on comedy but a thriller with fun element. It has Deepika Padukone along with Shefali Shah and Boman Irani .

Farhan admits that he is excited to work in ‘Kartik Calling Kartik’ as it “has lot of light funny moments, something that I missed out in my first two, actually three (the unreleased 'The Fakir Of Venice') starrers.”


The actor is also delaying his directorial ventures like Don 2 , as both he and Shahrukh Khan are busy this year. Thus ‘Don 2’ kicks off next year. Farhan’s ambitious project Voices From The Sky has also been put on hold because the actor is more interested in doing acting for time being.

The musician in Farhan is also on a roll as he wants to produce a music album post Rock On , where he will not only sing but also compose songs.

But before anything, it’s ‘Kartik Calling Kartik’, produced by his own home production with Ritesh Sidhwani , that will roll in the month of April.
