'Heroes' script invited to Oscar library

The script of the multistarrer film will soon be included in the Oscar archives, which has a huge library of scripts and screenplays of films from around the world. The material is made available to film students, filmmakers, artists and film enthusiasts for research purposes.

On Friday morning, Samir Karnik , the film's director, reportedly received a letter from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, inviting the 'Heroes' script.


Confirming the news, a jubilant Samir Karnik told a news agency: "I'm sending them the script right away. I can't believe that the Oscars archives has invited our screenplay. Maybe because it is an original screenplay. That's why they invited it."

Starring Salman Khan , Preity Zinta , Sohail Khan , Vatsal Seth , Sunny Deol , Bobby Deol , Dino Morea and Mithun Chakraborty , 'Heroes' tells a tale of two film students who travel across north India to deliver the last letters of three dead soldiers. Through their experiences, the movie narrates the tale of brave men who lost their lives while fighting for their country.

Meanwhile, Karnik has begun work on his next film, 'Formula 44'. He has zeroed down on Sohail, Vatsal and Bobby for this film. He is also keen to cast Preity in an action role.

Well, that would be a first one for Preity.
