How Hrithik Roshan got gash on his wrist

From his knee to wrist, problems don’t seem to cease for Hrithik. Hardly has he overcome his chronic knee ache, the actor is now bedridden after injuring himself while shooting a stunt on the sets of Kites on Tuesday at Filmistan Studios.

The stunt required Hrithik to smash the glass of a window with a rod. The shot was not finalized after two failed takes. On the third take, Hrithik, perhaps determined to get it right, hit the rod on the pane so hard that splinters of glass flew off in every direction, and one of them struck right at this wrist, slitting it in an instant.


Hrithik, who was bleeding, was rushed to the nearby Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri. However, there was only one fear. A slit wrist is usually viewed as a case of attempted suicide and would have necessitated a police report.

So, Papa Rakesh Roshan swung into action. He rang up Tina Ambani who further called up doctors at the hospital to give complete medical attention to the injured superstar.

Incidentally, the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital had just opened a day before and Hrithik became their first patient.

Well, the hospital had a celebrity mahurat without intending to.
