Is Aamir Khan delaying '3 Idiots'?

The rumour mills are leveling an unlikely accusation against the professional and perfectionist Aamir. It is being alleged that Aamir is delaying the shooting of ‘3 Idiots’ by taking a vacation in the US with his kids, while the unit of the movie is left twiddling their thumbs in Mumbai.

Not only that, according to sources, as soon as the actor will be back from the holiday, he plans to complete Delly Belly ’s post production and chalk out its publicity plans. Amidst so much, Hirani is unable to get Aamir’s dates for completing ‘3 Idiots’.


Aamir Khan, a busy man this year, has three films coming up from his own production house – ‘Delhi Belly’, his wifey’s first project Dhobi Ghaat and an arthouse film ‘The Falling’ by journalist Anusha Rizvi. According to sources, he had special trials for all the three films before leaving for holidays.

The makers of ‘3 Idiots’ want the movie to release by the year-end. But according to reports, Aamir doesn’t want to finalize the release date of ‘3 Idiots’ yet. The actor wants to see the other movies which are going to release around the same time of the year. And a nasty rumour says Aamir is keen to clash with the Shahrukh Khan starrer My Name Is Khan , directed by Karan Johar which, in all probability, is set for yearend release. Last year, December became eventful with Ghajini vs Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi war at the box office. We all know who won.

‘3 Idiots’ is based on Chetan Bhagat’s successful novel ‘Five Point Someone’ and has Aamir pairing with Kareena Kapoor for the first time. The movie, a story of three friends at IIT, also stars Madhavan , Sharman Joshi and ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin’ star Mona Singh .
