It's time to strike off a few names from the list of eligible single babes of Bollywood. Ayesha Takia married her longtime boyfriend Farhan Azmi two days back at the latter's restaurant in Colaba. Now, on Wednesday, Amrita Arora is getting hitched with her boyfriend Shakeel Ladak, a builder in Mumbai. Amrita has had her share of relationships in the last few years. She dated actor Upen Patel , English county cricketer Usman Afzal before eventually finding Shakeel Ladak to be the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. 
Originally, a church wedding (at Mumbai's Mt. Mary Basilica) was planned but now it has been called off at the eleventh hour due to security concerns. Amrita had even got a special gown with Swarovski crystals designed by Ashley Rebello to walk to the altar with groom Ladak, maid of honour Malaika Arora (her sister) and bridesmaids Kareena Kapoor and Mallika Bhat. Now, the same ceremony will be held at Olive's in Bandra on Wednesday morning at 11 am. Besides the Christian wedding there would also be a nikaah and Punjabi style Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies. Talk about secular families! Sangeet, which is eagerly awaited by everyone because of its celebratory spirit, will be hosted by Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan. Farah Khan is choreographing the dances and Amrita's saheli Kareena is expected to shake her leg as well. However, the toast of the sangeet will be Salman Khan who, true to his nature, will come up with something spontaneous. Even as Amrita takes the nuptial vows on Wednesday, wedding is also on the cards for actress Koel Purie who is reportedly getting married to a Frenchman named Laurent. The wedding will reportedly take place in Delhi within a few weeks. |
