Kareena learns belly dancing for IIFA performance

The actress aims to put forth a sizzling performance and has already begun training in belly dancing for a song to be choreographed by Shiamak Davar . Bebo plans to shake her leg to a medley of songs and one of the numbers would have her dressed like an Arabian princess doing belly dancing.

Now, given Kareena’s thin frame and her nimble footedness, she won’t have much trouble in getting those sensuous moves right.


Kareena’s costumes for the performance would most likely be done by her trusted designer Manish Malhotra .

Bebo, who till recently had been shooting Rensil D’Silva ’s film ‘Qurbaan’ (previously titled Jihad ) in the US, says she’s become very choosy about her stage performances. She agreed to perform at IIFA because it gives her “an international standing”.

This would be Kareena’s first stage performance of the year and she is determined to enthrall the audience. Her beau, Saif Ali Khan won’t dance with her but would promote his film Love Aaj Kal at the IIFA weekend.

IIFA celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Unlike other award functions, IIFA is a three-day event featuring film awards, press conferences, film premieres, business forums, film festivals and celebrity special events.

This year’s IIFA will be held at the picturesque Venetian Macao Resort Hotel from June 11 to 13.
