'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' is about adventures of a thief

The movie stars Abhay Deol as an unscrupulous thief.

"This film is about a thief's adventures and his attitude towards the society and vice versa. 'Oye Lucky' is totally different from 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'," Banerjee said.


Though 'Oye Lucky' is set to release on November 28, which is just a fortnight away, director Dibakar Banerjee isn't feeling much pressure. He understands that people have big expectations from him after 'Khosla Ka Ghosla', but he's sure people would love 'Oye Lucky' as well.

"If 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' was a realistic, situational comedy, 'Oye Lucky' is about a thief's adventures. I want it to do well on its own. There may be many people who have not watched 'Khosla ka Ghosla' and would go to watch 'Oye Lucky' without any expectations. I am sure they too would love the film," he said.

Interestingly, the film has Paresh Rawal playing three different roles - that of Lucky's father, of a Sikh, and a doctor.

Dibakar says both his films have been inspired from people he has met in real life.

'Oye Lucky' has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and also stars Neetu Chandra and Archana Puran Singh .
