Plan afoot for 'Raaz 3'!

Raaz - The Mystery Continues , despite being not as good as its prequel, did fairly well at the theatres and is considered a hit. So Vishesh Films have decided to work on the third edition. But the movie will not go on floors now, as the makers have Jashan lined up for April release; then there is ‘Jism-2’ in the pipeline.

According to Mukesh Bhatt it all depends on Mohit, who has to come up with the right concept to continue the Raaz franchise. There are speculations that ‘Raaz-3’ will have new actor and actresses. But it can also repeat the Bhatts’ favourite Emraan Hashmi .


Talks of collaborating with some International Production house are also on. Mohit Suri is a regular one in Bhatt camp and has given films like Zeher , Kalyug and Woh Lamhe .

In fact, the director had a tough time pursuing the Bhatts to make ‘Raaz- TMC’. And with the success of the film Bhatt camp is upbeat about carrying the series forward.

‘Raaz - The Mystery Continues’ earned Rs 29 crore in the opening week and the response is encouraging even in the third week, the 27-year-old director said. But Mohit wants to direct a romantic comedy before venturing into ‘Raaz-3’.

Way back in 2002, nobody had expected that ’Raaz’ would become a hit. But with its success story, the potential of horror films came into recognition, as the movie was first of its kind to break the norm and its triumphant win at box office also paved way for actress Bipasha Basu in Bollywood.
