Shahrukh Khan searches cheerleaders for his Knight Riders!

King Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment will produce this show named ‘Knights and Angels’, to be aired on NDTV Imagine. This reality show will be the first of its kind to be produced to find cheerleaders and will also have other popular stars at the helm.

After all, it’s a SRK show and his mere name is synonymous to glam, style and exuberance. Retired cricketer and former Indian Skipper Saurav Ganguly will judge the show, and has confirmed the news. Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar will train girls. And talks are on with various Bollywood celebs to act as the host for the show. But various other details of the show are kept under wraps.


According to a news agency, SRK is looking for “style, personality, attitude, rhythm and a fit body” in his cheerleaders for his Indian Premiere League, IPL Team.

IPL’s last season, which was also its first, was not so good for cheerleaders. Girls were reduced to eye-candies and received a lot of flak for their dressing. Delhi Daredevils had to withdraw their cheerleaders when infuriated local politicians objected. And Deccan Chargers’ all-rounder, Pakistani player Shahid Afridi, complained that his team's dancers were an unwanted distraction.

King Khan nowadays is taking a fair deal of interest in television production. Red Chillies Entertainment is in talks with NDTV for couple of shows to be aired on the channel, which includes shows like ‘Ghar Ki Baat Hai’ and the talk show being hosted by designer duo of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla with celeb wives.

‘Knights and Angels’ will extend for six episodes and is expected to start from March 7. The winner will be part of cheerleading team and stands a chance to be seen with many stars.
