Southern sensation Keerty Reddy is playing it safe as far as her acting career goes. Wary of facing failure in Bollywood after “Tera Jadoo.. flopped”, the Reddy girl is switching back to films down south.

According to the latest buzz in the industry, Keerty has signed a Kannada film “Superstar” opposite renowned actor Upendra. Its director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar asserts that “Superstar” will be a thriller with Upendra in a double role.

“Keerty will play the role of a vulnerable girl torn between Upendra and his look-alike in the film,” says Chandrashekar.

Keerty, who had refused offers from Kannada filmmakers earlier, says she chose to do “Superstar” because of its hero Upendra “has already made his name in South”. In case you don’t know, Keerty has already tasted success in south with her first Telugu film “Tholi Prema”, which was a mega hit.

At present, Keerty is awaiting the release of her next Hindi film, Rajiv Rai’s “Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat”, which is expected to put her in Bollywood’s big league. Even if the film comes a cropper, Keerty has little to worry. She can always fall back upon South.
