Lissome Sonali Bendre has been roped in by famous south Indian director Krishna Vamsi to play the female lead in his latest film Khadgam.

Sonali, who was last seen in Mahesh Manjrekar’s “Tera Mera Saath Rahe”, hasn’t had enough offers pouring from Bollywood lately. Probably that is why she has been readily signing films down south.

At least she seems to have become a favorite of director Krishna Vamsi. Last year she was seen in a glamorous role in Vamsi’s “Murari”(opposite Mahesh Babu), and now she has once again been signed to play the heroine of his next Telugu film Khadgam.

The film has Ravi Teja and Prakash Raj playing the male leads.
