Sexy siren Shakeela has decided to say good-bye to Malayalam films and do more Tamil and Telugu movies.
The ‘sex bomb’ is believed to be resentful with the Malayalam producers and directors. Reason? She says that while initially in her acting career she got good roles in Malayalam cinema, but later on producers began cashing on her ‘sexy’ image.
As a result films were made flippantly in just a fortnight. Some films like “Shakalaka Baby” even did well at the box-office. But Shakeela’s onscreen image suffered tremendously. She was being labeled as a hip-shaking bimbo.
Things are however turning out to be different for Shakeela in Tamil and Telugu cinema. For instance, in her latest Telugu film ‘Jayam,’ Shakeela springs a real surprise for her innumerable fans by playing a dignified college lecturer void of any glamour.
