Famous cine actress Rambha has lodged a complaint with police in Coimbatore stating that she has been "threatened" by a city jeweller and a film director.
Rambha, a multi-lingual actress, sought police protection while alleging that the jeweller and the director "threatened" her as she refused to attend a function organised by the former on Sunday.
She said that she refused to attend the function when the organisers asked her to give a dance performance there.
However, the director pleaded ignorance about it and said he did not know anything about the terms and conditions between the jeweller and the actress.
Meanwhile, Rambha has already left for Chennai and is likely to meet Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to inform her about the incident.
