South actress Meera Jasmine has done something similar. Meera, who won this year's best actress national award, Saturday filed a police complaint against her father and two sisters alleging that they had usurped her property. 
Jasmine came to the office of the DIG (central range), R Sreelekha, in Kochi, and submitted a written complaint alleging that her father and two sisters had taken hold of her bank account and property, police said. She won this year's best actress National award for her sensitive portrayal of a Muslim divorcee in Malayalam movie 'Paddum Onnu Oru Vilapam'. Meanwhile, a press photographer, who took a photo of the actress while she was entering the DIG's office, earned the official's wrath. Police officials forcibly took the photographer's camera and erased the print. Protesting against this, journalists and photographers from various newspapers gathered in front of the DIG's office. The Kerala Union of Working Journalists submitted a memorandum with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and DGP P K Hormis Tharakan protesting the incident.
