Efforts to rope in Bollywood stunner Aishwarya Rai as the heroine for Tamil superstar Rajnikant ’s movie Chandramukhi have bore no fruit as the actress is too busy to accommodate any new projects.
More than two years ago, Ash had turned down the offer to act in Rajikant’s film Baba . And last month, reports came that Ash was being wooed to play the female lead in his Chandramukhi, which is being produced by Sivaji Ganesan’s son Prabhu.
However, the much-expected ‘casting coup’ has again not happened, as Ash is very busy with her Bollywood and Hollywood projects.
It is learnt that the producers have now signed Malayali actress Nayanthara as the film’s heroine. She was believed to be Rajnikant’s second choice after Ash.
