It could be the musical coup of the year for the Malayalam film industry. Pop icon Adnan Sami is all set to make a musical splash on Malayalam silver screen.
The ever-smiling singer will lend his voice to a Malayalam song, according to reports doing the media rounds in Kollywood.
Sami, who recently flew to Kochi, is reported to have expressed his desire to sing for Malayalam movies.
Ace Director Jayaraj promptly pounced on the chance. Accordingly, the singer of gargantuan proportions will sing in the Jayaraj-directed film titled "Makalkku". The song, said to be a lullaby, will be most probably recorded in Mumbai soon.
Noted music director Ramesh Narayanan will set to music lyrics penned by Kaithapram for the film.
Jayaraj is also planning to rope in celebrated Indian singer Bhupen Hazarika for a song in his film.
No wonder, Malayalam music lovers are thrilled to the bits at Adnan's acceptance of Jayaraj's invitation to sing in his film. They are ready to lift their spirits by swaying to the Sami song!
