The buzz from Mollywood is that Asha was in Chennai recently to record the song under the baton of music director Vidyasagar.
The song Konja Neram, Konjum Neram is a duet featuring Asha and upcoming Malayalam playback singer Madhu Balakrishnan.
Incidentally, this is the second time Asha is singing for a Sivaji Productions project. The first she did it was for “Amardeep” almost fifty years ago.
The grapevine also has it that Asha will be the chief guest at the music launch of Chandramukhi in Chennai on March 5. Rajni’s superstar colleague Kamal Haasan will also grace the occasion, it is learnt. The news is also that the overseas launch of the audio would be held in Malaysia on March 6.
Meanwhile, the audio rights of Chandramukhi have been sold for Rs 1.10 crore. “AnAK Audio”, the company of Sanjay Wadhva, who is a financier and overseas distributor of Tamil films, will market the audio of the Rajni movie. The same company had marketed the audio of Kamal Haasan’s Veerumandi.
There are said to be six songs in Chandramukhi. Two of the song sequences were filmed in New Zealand, says the Mollywood buzz.
