Even as TamiI producers are falling over one another to get his nod, speculation is rife in Kollywood that superstar Rajnikant may act in a Kannada movie.
The buzz from Karnataka film circles is that Rajni, who is still savouring the super success of Chandramukhi , is likely to do a guest role.
Noted film personality Ravichandran, says the grapevine, will not only produce and direct the film, but will also play the hero in it.
Incidentally, Ravi's father Veerasami had produced Rajnikant's Tamil film ‘Padikkathavan’. Needless to say, it was a smashing hit.
So, when Ravi approached the superstar with the offer, an impressed Rajni is said to have given his green signal.
In any case Rajni is no stranger to Kannada cinema. Many of his Tamil hits, remade in Kannada, have been spectacular successes.
Meanwhile, his superstar rival Kamal Haasan has completed his own Kannada flick, ‘Rama’, ‘Shyama’ and ‘Bhama’.
So, if the Kollywood talk is anything to go by, Rajnikant is raring to go in Kannada films.
