Kannada superstar Upendra set to have a go at Bollywood 16th Sept 2006

The hottest news from Kannada cinema is that super star Upendra is getting set to make his debut in Hindi films.
The hit Kannada movie, ‘Raktha Kanneeru’, featuring Upendra, Ramya Krishnan and Abhirami, is being dubbed into Hindi.
The film has given an entirely different image to Uppi, whose forte is action-oriented roles.
Veteran Tamil character actor MR Radha (father of Tamil actress MR Radhika) had played the title role in the Tamil original, Raktha Kanneer, 55 years ago. The film ran to packed houses, taking Tamil Nadu by storm.
Producer of the film Munirathna has, according to the grapevine, given away the dubbing rights to Hindi. The Kannada version has been directed by Sadhu Kokila who has also composed the film's music.
Incidentally, Upendra's debut film 'A' had earned high praise from the Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor .
