Why not? She has just been signed up for doing a Kannada film. The film featuring Charmie is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Lakshmi’.
Of late, Kannada cinema seems to be rolling the red carpet for heroines from Tollywood. First it was Genelia who hopped over to Kannada films. She became a hit overnight. Now Charmie seems to be following in her footsteps - with good results. Charms has also bagged a prestigious project against Kannada superstar Upendra. The film titled ‘Lava Kusha’ will start shooting soon. Then there is a flick titled ‘Mantra’, which will, incidentally be Charmie's 25th film. So, all in all, the going is good for Charmie, who has scotched rumours doing the rounds in Tollywood that she is getting married. ‘Why should she? Her career is on the upswing. So what if it is in Kannada film world? What matters in the ultimate analysis is visibility and staying power. Charmie, who has done some memorable flicks like ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’, has shown that she has both in abundant measure.
