Sreekumaran Top Telugu heroine Laya is firming up her hold in Malayalam filmdom, if the offers that are coming her way are any indication. Lissome Laya is playing heroine to Megastar Mammootty in Shafi's forthcoming film "Thommante Makkal", due for release in the third week of this month. 
In the film, Laya plays Poonkavanam, the daughter of a Thevar, who falls in love with Mammootty's Sivan. Besides, Thommante Makkal, Laya has two more films in hand in Kollywood. In Udayon, she is co-starring with the other megastar in Malayalam, Mohanlal . Lovely Laya also figures as the heroine of Jayaram in "Alice in Wonderland", which is in the making. Like Padmapriya, who has already established a firm footing in Malayalam films, Laya is also all set to make her presence felt in Kollywood. No wonder, she is eagerly looking forward to the release of "Thommante Makkal".
