Films from the South are getting remade in Hindi and vice versa. The more the merrier, that seems to be the mantra! The latest to join the remake bandwagon is Bollywood's Anil Kapoor . Mollywood is agog with speculation that 'Mr. India’ will act in the Hindi version of Mohanlal's megahit "Udayananu Tharam". 
Interestingly, Roshan Andrews, who directed the Malayalam movie, will be the director of the Hindi version, too. Udayananu Tharam is being remade in Tamil, too. Here again Roshan Andrews will wield the megaphone. In the Tamil version, Surya will act the role Mohanlal enacted in the Malayalam version while Parthiban will play the Sreenivasan essayed in the Malayalam version. Then, Kollywood is rife with speculation that Amitabh Bachchan will do the Hindi remake of the Rajnikant starrer Chandramukhi . And, if all goes well, Rajnikant may figure in the Tamil version of the Amitabh-starrer Waqt – A Race Against Time . So, remakes seem to have become the flavour of the season both in Mollywood and Kollywood!
