Reel life seems to have turned a full circle for ravishing Rambha , who hade her debut in Malayalam films.
It was Malayalam movie ‘Sargam’ that saw the advent of Rambha on the silver screen. The film was a thumping success. But somehow Rambha failed to cash in on her popularity.
As a result, she quietly migrated to neighbouring Kollywood and then on to Tollywood. She made it big in both Telugu and Tamil films.
Then came the slump. With the entry of Trishas and Asins into both Tollywood and Tamil films, Rambha lost out the race.
Right now, she has only one Tamil film in her kitty: “Oru Kathalan, Oru Kathali”. In between she acted in a Bengali film with Mithun Chakraborty . Even her foray into the Hindi film world met with only limited success.
With her career in decline, Rambha has once again sought refuge on Mollywood. She managed to get a role in Malayalam film ‘Rasikan’ in which her hero was Dileep.
Rambha had also acted as Mammootty ’s love angle in ‘Chronic Bachelor’ and Dileep in ‘Kochi Rajavu’. With the moderate success of these films, Rambha seems to have decided that the future for her is now in Mollywood.
As if to confirm this trend, the oomph girl has managed to snap up another role in a yet to be titled Malayalam movie.
