Sreekumaran Malayalam cinema's megastar Mammootty is the busiest and most saleable star in Mollywood right now. The fifty-plus actor, who began his triumphant run since 2004, continues to enjoy the sunshine of success n his reel life. 
So busy is Mr. P A Mohammed Kutty (Mammoootty's real name) that he has no dates till 2008! The Amitabh Bachchan of South India is acting in as many as 18 films directed by the cream of Mollywood biggies. To mention a few: The next movie to be released soon is ‘Rajamanickam’ in which the megastar plays a buffalo dealer. Then there is the VM Vinu- directed ‘Bus Conductor’ depicting the trials and tribulations faced by a bus conductor. Early in the New Year, Mammoos will start shooting for ‘Thuruppu Gulan’ to be directed by Johnny Antony. The film will have two heroines -- Tollywood topper Trisha and Southern stunner Sneha . Another prestigious project featuring Mammootty is the A IV Sasi-directed ‘Balram Vs Taradas’, shooting for which will start early next year, again. In between, he may also figure in a film to be produced by Editor Mohan in Tamil. Mohan actually wanted Tamil superstar Rajnikant to act in the film, which will be a remake of the Amitabh-starrer Hindi film, Waqt – A Race Against Time . But Rajni will be busy with his own film ‘Sivaji’. So, the buzz in Kollywood is that Mohan has zeroed in on Mammootty in place of Rajnikant. No wonder, the Mollywood buzz these days is that it is Mammootty Time in Malayalam cinema world. Enjoy yourself, Mammookka!
