Has Malayalam actress Meera Jasmine said good-bye to films? The answer to the question, doing the rounds in Kollywood, is an emphatic No.
Disproving the propaganda that it is fadeout time for her, talented Meera is staging a comeback on Diwali day.
On Diwali this year, her much-awaited Tamil film, ‘Kasturiman’ will see the light of the day. It is a remake of the original Malayalam movie with the same name. The director too is Lohitadas who wielded the megaphone for the Malayalam version.
Besides, she will be back in Malayalam films after a long interval. Right now, she is acting in a film to be directed by Lenin Rajendran.
Then, there is another film, which will be directed by TV Chandran. It was the Chandran-directed ‘Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam’, which fetched the Jasmine girl the National Award for Best Actress.
Things are looking up for Meera in real life as well. The good news is that her mother is staying with her. It seems the misunderstanding with the parents is being ironed out. No wonder, the bright-eyed Meera is looking at peace with herself these days.
All would agree that the talented heroine deserves this happy turn in the tide of events considering the trauma she has had to undergo during the last few years.
